Hey Neighbour organized an exclusive gathering today for South African media representatives to share their excitement. The event, held on the rooftop of Prime Media’s offices in Sandton, saw TV and radio presenters, journalists, writers, bloggers, and others participate in the festival’s schedule and activities.

Several guests won festival tickets, and others participated in the day’s games. The unveiling of a new performer for Day 2’s lineup, on the other hand, was an elementthat everyone was looking forward to. The festival’s nearly never-ending, ever-giving third phase comprises a mix of the country’s biggest contemporary exporters, African icons, and more amazing international talent.

The already toasty Neighbourhood announced international hitmaker and jam-provider REMA as the new phase 3 artist. The 23-year-old just made history by winning the inaugural Best Afrobeats award at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards for the remix of the hit featuring Selena Gomez.

Rema who will join the line-up alongside legendary Kendrick Lamar, South African acts Mafikizolo, Prime Circle, Zakes Bantwini, Black Motion as well as Desmond and the Tutus. Local favourites Mörda, Kelvin Momo and DJ Zinhle have the decks on lock alongside curated live performances from Sho Madjozi, Elaine and Jamie-Lee Sexton.

For the hip-hop heads, BLXCKIE, Youngsta CPT and A-REECE will hold it down alongside newcomer Real Dan Duminy and Uncle Partytime on the one’s and two’s. Representing one of the biggest trending genres around the world, Amapiano royalty TXC, Daliwonga, Young Stunna, Tyler ICU and Major League will be repping for the Yanos generation.

UK Rock superstars Nothing But Thieves have also been confirmed along with thriving local alternative acts Majozi, Jeremy Loops, Monark, Max Hurrell and the Plastics. Hey Neighbour also sees a set of incredible brand partners joining the Hood, including Netflix, Axe, KitKat, Coke Studio and Play.

In case you still haven’t diarised yet, The star-studded festival will be held at Legends Adventure Farm Pretoria from December 8 to 10. Gates open at noon, and close at midnight.
