Global superstar Kanye West, now known as Ye, has reportedly announced that he will be bringing his one-of-a-kind live performance to South Africa later this year. According to posts shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account and via local ticketing platform Ticketpro, Ye is scheduled to perform at Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg on 13 December 2025.
The announcement, which has already sparked massive buzz online, promises a historic one-night-only performance — Ye’s first and only show in South Africa. Promotional material circulating on social media reads: “One night. One stage. One show in SA.”
Pre-registration for tickets opened this week via ticketpro.co.za, with presale tickets set to go live on 25 September 2025. Ticketing partners and promoters, including Monyake Group, have also been tagged in the rollout, further fueling anticipation that the concert is indeed happening.

The posts feature Ye in his signature avant-garde style, dressed in all-white with his face fully covered, continuing the bold, enigmatic aesthetic he has carried through much of his recent public appearances and performances.
If confirmed, the Johannesburg show would be Ye’s only stop in South Africa and one of the most anticipated international music events of the year. With Ye’s reputation for groundbreaking stage productions and unpredictable artistry, fans are bracing themselves for what could be an unforgettable night.
For now, fans are urged to pre-register at ticketpro.co.za to secure early access when presales open. But as excitement builds, one thing remains clear: Ye’s possible arrival in Johannesburg this December is shaping up to be one of the biggest cultural moments on the continent in 2025.
