CONVERSE UNVEILS THE NEXT CHAPTER OF ITS 1908 COLLECTION WITH THE BOLD NEW BRONCO BOOT

Converse is once again leaning into its storied heritage with the evolution of the 1908 Collection — a series that reimagines the brand’s most iconic silhouettes through a distinctly modern lens. The latest addition, the 1908 Bronco Boot, arrives as a striking fusion of Converse’s century-old craftsmanship and the creative direction of global cultural force Tyler, The Creator.

Introduced under Tyler’s curatorial vision, the 1908 Collection bridges Converse’s origins with contemporary design, reviving and reinterpreting heritage styles like the Naut-1 and the Jogger. The new Bronco Boot continues this trajectory, honouring the brand’s early utility and boot-making roots while shaping a silhouette built for today’s style-forward creators.

The 1908 Bronco Boot is defined by its modern reinterpretation of archival details: a moulded rubber toe with Converse’s signature diamond texture, a dimensional split upper, and a bold lugged outsole engineered for confidence and traction. Functional refinement runs through every stitch — from robust metal hardware and round laces to a faux welt accented with heavy stitching. Premium leather and suede offer durability and tactility, while colourways inspired by the le FLEUR palette underscore Tyler’s imprint on the collection.

Infused with unmistakable Chuck Taylor DNA, the Bronco Boot effortlessly blends streetwear edge with outdoor influence. It’s rugged enough for adventure, yet clean enough for city styling — a testament to Converse’s ability to innovate while staying rooted in cultural relevance.

Speaking on the launch, Tebogo Motlamme, Marketing Manager of Converse South Africa, shared:

“The 1908 Bronco Boot represents the next wave of Converse innovation; it’s where heritage meets hustle. South African style is fearless and versatile, and this silhouette speaks directly to that — it’s about self-expression that’s grounded, bold, and built for wherever the day takes you.”

The debut range arrives in four expressive colourways: Pear Sorbet in premium canvas, and Aspen Green, Emperador, and Black in luxurious leather. Each style balances contemporary flair with heritage detail, making the Bronco Boot a standout choice for creators who value both craftsmanship and versatility.

The 1908 Bronco Boot drops on 13 November, available at converse.com and select retailers across South Africa, priced between R2,999.95 and R3,799.95 — marking a fresh, confident chapter in Converse’s legacy of reinvention.
