On October 4, London-based Zimbabwean pop star Ananya released her latest single, “Happy.” The song is dedicated to raising awareness and initiating conversations about mental health. “Happy” reflects the uncertainties and vulnerabilities of human connections, illustrating the coexistence of happiness and sadness.

Ananya channels the essence of sad girl pop in her latest single. She openly delves into her own mental health battles, highlighting the significance of sharing such experiences with others.
The official music video for “Happy” dropped today, Oct 10th, on World Mental Health Day. Making this project such an important body of work.
In honor of the song’s ode to mental health, Ananya will be accepting donations to her nonprofit organization, Nani Wellness Project – which looks to support young girls and boys in Zimbabwe who struggle with their mental wellness. You can donate HERE.
