Not really a pact, but a few years ago we had a deal that one day, when he’s made it, Brighton would grace my blog with his presence and today I couldn’t be happier to have him talking to us about his career, his personal life & all that makes him who he is, welcome & I hope you enjoy our interview with this super star they call Spider! 🙂

Please tell us a bit about your journey leading to the Bucs family.

Oh wow, where do I start?! My journey hasn’t been easy but through Gods will I managed to pull through. I started playing for development 11 years back till I matriculated at the age of 18, that’s when I realized that I needed to grow academically in football, that’s when I decided to go & play for some team that was campaigning in the ABC Motsepe League, at the time I was studying towards a marketing management qualification. It wasn’t long till I caught the eye of the Garankuwa United Team scout, I then joined their team on loan from Orlando Pirates. Things went well, we went on to win the league & won promotional playoffs, unfortunately then we lost to FC AK, but then I guess it was a big blessing in disguise ‘coz they went on to ask for my availability at Orlando Pirates, then signed me on loan *laughs*. I had a great 1^st season with them, there were other teams which were interested in signing me, but I decided to put Pirates as first priority just because I felt like I had to thank them for developing me & having faith in me, so wanted to thank & repay them for that & then the rest was history.

True that, so would you at this point, say you are already where you’ve always wanted to be in your career?

I’m always grateful to be where I am, even though I feel it can never be enough. It can always get better & better & it will in due time.

As everything has its own time right, great. So now that you’ve told us a bit about soccer & your career, I’m gonna get a little personal, not too much, just a little… I’m sure our readers & your fans will love to know some fun facts about you.

Honestly I don’t even try & follow trends, so naah angazi, I never check.

Nah I doubt I have such weakness hey, I’m just a chilled guy, I was never a fan of such growing up, so I’m keeping it less complicated as it is.

If I’m not out & about, I just go home (SOWETO, Jo’Burg) & spend time with my Mother  & Lil Bro, family first & my mom is my world.…

I guess I’ve gotta give credit to my dad on that one, he brought me up well, taught me all about humility & to rather grow wiser and always stay level headed and be willing to learn than be intelligent & think you know it all, because respect begets respect.

Great question, It’s a mixture of hard work, dedication & prayerfulness. I’ve always been the main key to my success before most of all this. It’s about staying level headed, keeping my feet on the ground, always focusing on the bigger picture & striving for success, not forgetting staying blessed so that you may be a blessing to others too.
