The highly anticipated Rocking The Daisies music festival will return in style from the 17th to the 19th of November, following a necessary postponement due to extraordinary weather and significant flood concerns in the Western Cape in recent weeks. Furthermore, the Johannesburg date has been pushed out to November 19th.

The principal sponsor of this popular annual music festival in the Cape Town winelands, Johnnie Walker, is putting considerable support behind trailblazing women in music and entertainment for the 2023 edition.
The renowned Scottish whisky brand has a solid track record in South African cultural venues for its pioneering support for talent who was previously disadvantaged due to their backgrounds and identities. The Johnnie Walker Rocking the Daisies collaboration is one example of how the adored whisky brand is breaking down barriers and opening doors for up-and-coming talent to earn the much-deserved attention around their craft, no less on Africa’s largest festival stage.
This year, the renowned brand is backing the girls with an action-packed advertisement featuring trailblazing female DJs. The spotlight will shine on trailblazing women in the music and entertainment industry. Featuring an impressive line-up of female artists, Johnnie Walker is sending a clear message about the significance of equality andrepresentation in the music industry.
All of the excitement begins with an extensive publicity tour for the selected performers in the country’s largest entertainment journals and hot-in-culture locations.

The official #JWRTD countdown Spotify takeover will follow, where festival attendees and groovers alike will be able to enjoy the sonic melodies of the selected artists with specially crafted playlists that give fans an insight into the artist’s vision and what to expect at the festival.
Along with all of the press attention for the hottest female DJs, Johnnie Walker, in collaboration with SheSaid.so and Steyn Entertainment, will launch a new learnership programme that will offer women, the LGBTQIA+ community, and non-binary people a year-long programme that will place them at the heart of event management at Johnnie Walker and Steyn Entertainment (organizers of the Rocking the Daisies festival).
